Recommended Serving Size

  • MILD (Usui) - Straight: 1/2 tsp (~1g)
  • MEDIUM - Latte, Sipping: 1 tsp (2g)
  • STRONG (Koi) - Smoothie, Sipping, Latte: 1+ tsp (>3 gm)

Serving Suggestion

Simply add 1 tsp (2g) of matcha to a cup or bowl (chawan).  Add ~80 ml of hot water (not boiling) (~80 degrees).  Whisk until lather forms.  Relax & enjoy.

    The best Matcha I've ever had

    I ordered matcha Eiko Ceremonial Reserve Matcha at 2:59 pm and I received it the next day at about 10:00 am which impressed me a lot! Super fast delivery! Besides, Eiko has such a fantastic taste. When I first opened it I tried to compare with Haru to see how different the colours are, and they are just slightly different, so Eiko is a bit more vibrant green than Haru (lighter) which I really like. I have just made Eiko as a Usucha which is sooooo good! It's not bitter! It's mild, easy to drink and I feel that it has natural sweetness as well and the smell sooo good! The smell is a bit smoke nutty. I'm enjoying both Haru and Eiko. Haru is so good but Eiko is even better!

    Best for Usucha

    I find Eiko smooth and mellow, best for Usucha I've found in NZ. The smell when I'm whisking Eiko is divine - a green nuttiness is how I can best describe it. Not bitter and hardly any astringency. Pleasant aftertaste. I am a regular matcha drinker, and this is my first purchase from Wabi. Pleased :).
