Keeping the Tea Flowing: A Quick Update Regarding Tsubaki

Keeping the Tea Flowing: A Quick Update Regarding Tsubaki

If you’ve been looking for our Tsubaki Matcha lately, you might have noticed it’s been a bit hard to find. We wanted to share a quick update on what’s happening behind the scenes and what you can expect from the next batch.

Bridging the gap

We try our best to time our orders with the Japanese seasons. However, we’ve recently run through our supply of the specific leaves we use for Tsubaki. Since the 2026 harvest isn't due until late April at the earliest, we were faced with a choice: stay out of stock for the next few months, or find a way to bridge the gap.

A slight shift in grade (and price)

We’ve decided to keep the Tsubaki available by sourcing a slightly higher grade of leaf for this interim batch. We didn't want to settle for anything less than the quality you’re used to, so we actually went a step up.

Because these higher-grade leaves are more expensive to source, you’ll notice the price has shifted from $34.50 to $38.50.

What this means for your brew

While the price is a little higher, the quality is excellent. This batch is incredibly vibrant and has a slightly more refined flavor profile than the previous one. We’re really happy with it, and we think those of you who drink it daily will really enjoy the difference.

We’re just happy we don't have to leave you without your matcha fix until April!

Thanks as always for supporting us and being part of the journey.
